This 52-year-old female was sent to our doctors after seeing a general surgeon to address her benign breast tumors and discomfort from them. Her general surgeon was discussing a prophylactic mastectomy to help solve these issues and felt breast reconstruction would be a great option for her.

Our doctor spent an hour discussing options and strategies with her during the first consultation. Because her breast shape was smaller (small C/full B) our doctor felt a nipple sparing approach with her only incision being placed in the breast fold was an option. This incision is only slightly larger than a breast augmentation patient but can really only be performed in smaller breasted patients.
