What Is HALO Laser Skin Resurfacing?

HALO is a hybrid fractional laser skin resurfacing treatment that combines ablative and non-ablative wavelengths. The customized treatments can be as aggressive or gentle as you want to achieve your goals with little downtime. It carefully targets years of damage to your skin, improving discoloration, enlarged pores, fine lines, uneven skin tone, and other texture issues. One of the benefits of HALO is that you can choose how many treatments are right for you. You can have one or two more aggressive treatments to get quick results, or you can choose to have multiple gentler treatments to achieve your goals over a longer period of time.

You can treat a broader range of skin conditions by combining HALO with BBL® Hero™ treatments.

How Long Is Recovery After a HALO® Treatment?

Your recovery time depends on the intensity of the treatment you want and how quickly you normally heal. In most cases, the recovery after a HALO laser skin resurfacing treatment ranges from a couple of days to a full week. During the initial hours after the treatment, your skin will feel warm. Applying cold compresses or ice packs minimizes discomfort.

During the ensuing few days, expect to see:

  • Peeling, flaking, swelling, redness, and bronzing
  • Brown spots becoming darker

Swelling is also likely. These symptoms usually peak in 2 to 3 days and subside within a week. Avoid sun exposure during the recovery because the skin will be extremely sensitive to the sun’s rays.
