Healthy women who are at or near their target weight and have sufficient stores of body fat are often great candidates for breast augmentation with fat transfer. The procedure modestly increases a woman’s breast size (usually by a cup size) or adds a soft, natural feel to implants in traditional breast augmentation.
Breast augmentation with fat transfer offers numerous benefits, including:
During your consultation with one of our board-certified plastic surgeons, we will discuss your medical history and assess whether you are a good fit for breast augmentation with fat transfer. Depending on your aesthetic goals, we may also recommend complementary procedures, such as a breast lift to address sagging or skin laxity.
Our surgeons at Synergy Plastic Surgery are Keller Funnel certified. This FDA-approved device helps our surgeons insert silicone breast implants in the safest way using very small incisions. With the Keller Funnel, the implant is kept completely sterile, minimizing the chance of infection. This unique device allows for precise implant placement through much smaller incisions. It also minimizes your time in the operating room.
Breast augmentation with fat transfer patients in and around Austin, Texas, can typically expect to pay $8,000 – $11,000, though multiple factors will affect the final cost. It is generally more expensive than traditional breast augmentation as it involves two procedures: liposuction to collect the fat and the actual fat grafting.
During your consultation, we will provide a written quote reflecting your specific requirements, including any other procedures you wish to add. For more information on costs and payment options, visit our Pricing page.

Request a ConsultationFat transfer breast augmentation is performed as an outpatient procedure using a local or general anesthetic. The first part of the surgery involves liposuction to collect excess fat from a donor area, such as the abdomen, flanks, or thighs. Once the fat has been suctioned out and purified in a centrifuge, it is ready to be transferred.
Your surgeon will carefully inject the fat into various layers of breast tissue, using different angles and depths to ensure even distribution. Once they have built up enough volume, the surgeon will close the incisions with sutures.
Enjoy a slimmer figure without surgery, anesthesia, or recovery time. Freeze unwanted fat on your abdomen, thighs, chin, and more with nonsurgical CoolSculpting.
Most women can return to work after a week of rest, though individual healing rates may vary. We will provide you with detailed instructions to guide you through your recovery, but here is what you can generally expect:
Although breast augmentation with fat transfer can provide long-lasting results, not all fat cells will survive the transfer. In addition, the natural aging process, weight and hormone fluctuations, and other factors can affect long-term results. Some patients may require touch-up procedures over time to maintain or adjust their results.
Fat transfer provides only a modest increase in breast size (usually 1 to 2 cup sizes) and depends on the amount of donor fat available. Patients interested in a more substantial enhancement may be better candidates for traditional breast augmentation with implants.
