What Is the Contour TRL Laser? 

The Contour TRL (Tunable Resurfacing Laser) is a skin resurfacing treatment that uses erbium laser technology, which removes damaged skin cells in a more focused way than similar skin resurfacing treatments. It reduces superficial and moderately deep lines and wrinkles, primarily on the face and neck. Contour TRL’s erbium laser minimizes damage to surrounding tissue, leading to fewer side effects, such as swelling, bruising, and redness, and reducing the recovery time compared to CO2 laser resurfacing. 

The TRL laser peel stimulates new collagen growth in the skin, fading wrinkles while improving the skin’s thickness and resilience. With the Contour TRL device, the provider can control the exact depth of the treatment to address wrinkles, poor skin texture, scars, and actinic keratoses. It is primarily used on the face and neck but can also improve skin texture in other areas of the body. 

What Is NanoLaserPeel? 

For people with less pronounced wrinkles around the eyes, mouth, or forehead, NanoLaserPeel is an alternative to Contour TRL treatments. Sometimes called a “weekend peel,” the procedure is gentler than the Contour TRL laser and can be used for smaller treatment areas. The NanoLaserPeel isn’t like chemical peels; we can customize the depth of the treatment so you can choose the intensity and how much downtime works for you.  

Like the Contour TRL, the NanoLaserPeel works by creating controlled injuries to the skin, triggering the body’s natural healing response that produces new collagen. Treatments take 30 to 40 minutes, and a topical anesthetic numbs the skin before the procedure begins. Most patients schedule a series of up to 3 treatments to get the desired results.  

Pro-Nox™ for Your Comfort 

We offer patients the option of using Pro-Nox to minimize discomfort, stress, and anxiety during their laser skin resurfacing treatments. Pro-Nox is an FDA-cleared pain relief system that patients control. It’s similar to “laughing gas,” and you can inhale as much or as little as you need during your procedure. Pro-Nox uses a 50-50 mix of nitrous oxide and oxygen and is a popular option with multiple medical and aesthetic treatments. It wears off quickly—usually within 10 to 15 minutes—so you can drive yourself home after your treatment.
