What Is CoolSculpting?

CoolSculpting is an FDA-cleared body contouring treatment that minimizes fat deposits by freezing and destroying targeted fat cells. Once these cells are treated, your body naturally and gradually flushes them out over the course of a month or 2, revealing a slimmer silhouette without the need for surgery, downtime, or anesthetic.

Introducing CoolSculpting Elite

In addition to traditional CoolSculpting, we are proud to be one of the first practices in the Austin and Round Rock area to offer CoolSculpting Elite. This next-generation procedure treats 18% more surface area than the original CoolSculpting system. CoolSculpting Elite’s fleet of 7 new applicators is specially designed to fit your body’s natural curves. The curve series applicators, for example, are formed in a C-shape to align with rounded body contours such as on the abdomen. Other devices specialize in treating the jawline, back fat, banana rolls, and more.

The fat freezing process remains the same no matter which applicator is used. If you are interested in CoolSculpting Elite, your provider will explain the treatment process and use the best device for your needs.

How Does CoolSculpting Work?

CoolSculpting slims treated areas by exposing fat cells to a controlled cooling process using a handpiece or applicator applied to the surface of the skin. Cold temperatures harm fat cells before other tissues, so only the fat cells are affected by these innovative treatments1.

Where Does the Fat Go After CoolSculpting?

After your treatment, the body flushes away treated fat cells through its normal cleansing process. Results develop gradually but last indefinitely. Once these fat cells are gone, they’re gone for good.

Who Is a Candidate for CoolSculpting?

The best CoolSculpting and CoolSculpting Elite candidates are women and men who are already in good shape but have stubborn areas of fat that persist despite their best efforts. Sometimes these are genetic traits, such as a double chin, or trouble spots where fat tends to accumulate. CoolSculpting isn’t a weight-loss treatment and patients who see the most benefit are people who exercise regularly and eat a balanced diet.

How Much Does CoolSculpting Cost in Austin?

The final cost of a full set of treatments depends on several factors, including the area or areas being targeted and the number of treatment sessions needed to meet your goals. We discuss the cost during your consultation. We offer packages that can help you save on our already discounted prices. At this time, you can get up to 40% off of 8+ treatments of this revolutionary body contouring procedure. For more information, visit our Pricing page.

Should I Get CoolSculpting, Liposuction, or a Tummy Tuck?

CoolSculpting, liposuction, and tummy tucks all offer visible body contouring results, but the right treatment for you depends on your specific goals. CoolSculpting is a strong option for many people because it doesn’t require incisions or recovery time, yet it still creates a noticeably slimming effect.

Which Areas Can Be Treated With CoolSculpting?

CoolSculpting can effectively treat many areas of the body where most people typically collect fat, including the abdomen, flanks, back, thighs, and “double chin.”

Treatments in Half the Time

Because we have two CoolSculpting Elite machines at our Austin and Round Rock locations, we can double your results without adding any treatment time. By using 2 machines simultaneously, we’re able to treat 2 areas of the body at the same time. This means we can address both thighs or both arms without adding on another 45 minutes or so to your appointment.

How Safe Is CoolSculpting?

CoolSculpting is considered a safe treatment, especially when performed by a qualified provider, such as one of our trained specialists. The device has several safeguards in place to monitor your skin’s temperature and safely deliver controlled cooling only to your targeted fat deposits.

What Should I Expect at My CoolSculpting Consultation?

Before your treatment, you will meet with one of our CoolSculpting specialists, who will make sure CoolSculpting is right for you. Each of our specialists received specialized training when they attended CoolSculpting University and uses their expertise to recommend a customized treatment plan. If you are a good candidate for CoolSculpting and decide you want to try it, we can begin treatment right after your consultation.

Can I Combine CoolSculpting With Other Treatments?

Combining CoolSculpting with other body contouring or skin tightening procedures is a cost-effective way to address several concerns at once. We offer packages that combine CoolSculpting with CoolTone, a nonsurgical procedure that tones targeted muscles using magnetic energy. You can discuss your options during the consultation.

Save on CoolSculpting Elite With Allē

You can save on future CoolSculpting Elite treatments—or a range of other in-office treatments and products—when you create an account with Allē. Every 100 points can be redeemed for $10 savings on a future treatment or purchase of an Allē brand product. Allē treatments include BOTOX® injections, the JUVÉDERM® collection of fillers, and CoolTone®.

What Happens During a CoolSculpting or CoolSculpting Elite Treatment?

First, the targeted area is cleansed, and then a protective gel pad is smoothed over the skin. Next, your specialist attaches the CoolSculpting applicator over the pad, and the cooling process begins. If you are treating 2 areas, such as both outer thighs, we repeat the process with a second CoolSculpting machine and applicator. Most people initially experience intense cold and tingling for approximately the first 5 to 10 minutes until the area becomes numb. You can sit back and relax during the treatment, which takes about 30 to 45 minutes (depending on the area or areas being treated).

When Can I Return to My Normal Activities After CoolSculpting?

After your treatment, you can return to your normal daily routine, including work or exercise, without restrictions. You may experience some mild redness, tingling, or skin sensitivity in your treated areas for a day or 2, but this shouldn’t prevent you from enjoying your usual activities.

When Will I See My CoolSculpting Results?

While experiences vary, patients usually begin to notice treated areas slimming in about 3 weeks. Improvements usually peak 2 months after treatment, although the body continues to flush away dead fat cells for 4 to 6 months. Your final results will last a long time if you maintain your healthy lifestyle.

How Many CoolSculpting Treatments Will I Need?

This depends on your goals for the procedure. Many patients need at least 2 treatment sessions to get the fat reduction they desire, but some may need more. We discuss your treatment plan during the consultation.

Does CoolSculpting Remove Fat for Good?

The body naturally removes fat cells killed by CoolSculpting. That’s different than when you lose weight, in which fat cells shrink. But continuing to exercise regularly and maintain a healthy diet is important because the remaining fat cells in the treatment area can grow.
