Trish’s Facelift, Tummy Tuck, & Breast Implant Exchange

real story patricia

By the time Trish arrived for her initial consultation with Dr. Ross Blagg at our Austin, TX, plastic surgery practice, she had “lived for a year and a half in total misery,” she says. That’s because she had undergone breast implant removal at a different practice which left her breasts disfigured.

“Dr. Blagg made a new woman of me,” says Trish, who lives in San Marcos, TX, and works for a mortgage company.

Trish, 59, underwent her surgery in June 2019. She did a lot of research before choosing a plastic surgeon, and she says Dr. Blagg came “highly recommended” and she felt very comfortable with both him and the staff at Synergy.

“Everyone treated me as if I were a member of the family.”

Before she underwent the procedure, Trish says she confided in her sisters about her plans. She believes cosmetic surgery is useful for people who aren’t confident about their appearances.

“I wasn’t concerned about people knowing I was having it done,” says Trish. “I’ve always believed cosmetic surgery was a good thing. If we can improve ourselves, go for it.”

A Smooth Recovery

By the time the day of the surgery arrived, Trish felt prepared. Ultimately, Trish underwent 2 separate procedures. She initially got breast implants and a mini reverse tummy tuck, which removes excess skin from above the bellybutton only. A tummy tuck, or abdominoplasty, removes excess skin from both above and below the bellybutton. She also got a facelift.

After the body contouring procedures, Trish says she was back to work after one week.

“My recovery was actually very amazing. Sure, day 3 was the worst day, but all in all I felt quite good,” she says. “I was back to work 4 days later (granted, I work from home.) I could see the results the day after the surgery and I was confident that I’d like the final outcome.”

She was also impressed with Dr. Blagg’s accessibility during her recovery.

“Every question I had for Dr. Blagg, via text, or email, he was there. It didn’t matter, day or night, throughout the recovery time.”

Trish says she has no regrets at all about getting the surgery.

“Not one regret,” she says. “I love to stand in front of a mirror now and just look in awe. I can be proud and show this body and not hide behind oversize clothes anymore.”
